Questions

Why no bank sync?
Because bank sync means sending your credentials to a third party. Every budget app that offers "automatic import" is routing your login through Plaid, MX, or Finicity — companies that aggregate and monetize financial data. Ledg believes manual entry is a small price for total privacy.
What if I lose my phone?
Ledg stores data locally with iOS Data Protection encryption. Your iPhone backups (iCloud or Finder/iTunes) include Ledg data. You can also export JSON backups anytime. iCloud backup feature coming soon.
Is the free tier actually usable?
Yes. 15 categories covers most people's spending (Groceries, Rent, Transport, Dining, etc.). You get unlimited transactions, budgets, recurring rules, charts, and Face ID — forever. Pro adds power-user features.
Can I switch from YNAB or Mint?
Yes. Export your transactions as CSV from your current app, then import directly into Ledg. Categories are auto-matched or easy to map manually.
What data does Ledg collect?
None. Zero. Ledg has no analytics SDK, no network code (except StoreKit for purchases), no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no account system. We literally cannot see your data even if we wanted to.
Android version?
Not currently planned. Ledg is built with SwiftUI and SwiftData — native iOS technologies that can't be ported. If demand is strong enough, a separate Android app may happen in the future.
